I’m back on Play d’eau and all is well with life. Very well.

Woolly Mammoth

Having followed my time in hospital for a rebuild of my prostate last week, our dear friends, Graham and Frances of Woolly Mammoth have penned an ‘Ode to Pee’.

It’s brilliant!

Ode to Pee

We thought we’d write this little verse, now you’ve seen the Doc and Nurse;
And they’ve unclogged your blocked up drain, enabling you to Pee again.

We also thought it would be nice, to give a bit of our advice
‘Cause you’re not used to good full flow, whenever you may want to go.

When you’re next having a great time, stand up and shout, I WANT MORE WINE;
Your tank will fill so just take care, that you don’t Pee it everywhere.

When you are full we recommend, that you yourself can just pretend
On your next visit to the Loo, stand back, take aim like firemen do.

Please don’t mind our little tease, we just want you to be at ease;
It’s wonderful now you can Wee, all we can do is shout YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEE……..

    All it needs now is for you and Lin to compose some music so that you can sing the ditty!

    • A music challenge! There has to be a well-known tune out there which would fit the words. Can anyone come up with some suggestions?

      The prize? A virtual solo performance at a virtual Albert Hall…

  • Lin’s come up with singing the Ode to Pee to the tune of ‘Jack and Jill’ – it works.

    Any other ideas?

    Hi Piers, found your blog when I was checking out Roscoff Marina!!! We were there last year, and hopefully on route again shortly from Hamble. Meantime, having checked your blog by coincidence Charles and I are from Cape Town, and were happy to see that you had just not long visited our lovely country and enjoyed it.

    We have our Freedom of Hamble 45ft freedom kept up at the Elephant boatyard on the Hamble, and fly to UK each May to pick her up and get across to France. Anyhooo, hope you are getting better now, and thank you for your interesting notes on Roscoff. Yes we have also found the strong current rather a problem getting our old girl into a berth without a bow thruster!!! All the best to you both, Susie and Charles Reynolds

    • Hi Susie and Charles. Lovely to hear form you, and yes, I am so much better – better then new. We’re planning to be back in SA in September(ish) and may spend a month or two there. SA has become close to our hearts.

      Pleased you found the notes on Roscoff useful. All the best to you both. Here’s to graceful sailing.
